Summer paint inspirations....

It's been a while since I have posted anything "home decor" related, so I figured that I should. Summer is an amazing time for colour. Bright peaches and corals...turquoise and emeralds. I love it all!
Here are a few paint colours and story boards that have caught my attention.

YSL inspired nails....

Inspired by the YSL nail images above (LOVE them) , I decided to re-create the look on myself. The colour combinations for this look are endless.... however, I decided to use two of my favourite nail polishes from this season.

The first colour is "turquoise and caicos", by Essie. I used this for the tips. The second colour is "gunmetal" by Joe Fresh. 

 

I love the way these two colours look together!

Would look even better if my nails were a bit longer, but I like to keep them fairly short for work.

Even so, my nails were a big hit at the "resort chic" work party that I attended yesterday.

Apricot makeup

This summer, I have fallen in love with peachy/apricot makeup shades. I recently purchased "peach lights" by Aveda, and have to say that it is my new favourite blush shade. It really warms up my skin tone, without being "too much". My favourite look right now is:  my liquid liner for the eyes...... peach blush, and a nude lip. The look just feels very fresh. See for yourself.....
