MAC's new collection

MAC's latest makeup collection, dubbed "Temperature Rising" has been out in stores, for a couple of days now. (Here in Canada, anyways). I'm going tomorrow to check out all the goodies in person. I hope that all the collection hasn't sold-out!!

Makeup Brushes

Today, I wanted to write about makeup brushes. I am in serious need of updating my makeup kit and know that I will have to purchase some new makeup brushes.
When I first started building my kit....it was all about MAC makeup for me. And while they do have a good assortment of brushes, I realize that there are MANY more companies that carry great alternatives.

 I obviously love blogging about all things beauty, and would love to hear what other makeup lovers have or want for their kits. So.....what makeup brushes are you currently obsessed with? Please leave a comment below and let me know!

MAC- Hey Sailor!

Anyone who knows me, knows that I am pretty obsessed with anything nautical inspired.  So I just about flipped when I saw the latest collection from MAC, named...HEY SAILOR! I pretty much want everything!! I was I knew the collection release date....so if you know, leave me a comment!

MAC lipglosses

It's been a while since I've posted about any new makeup purchases.  Mainly because December was a write off with all the shifts I was working at the salon.

But it;s a new year, so lets start it off right!

I went to MAC recently with Cocamia , and picked out a few lip glosses that I'm super pumped about.

The first sheer nude on is a "Cremesheen Glass", in "Boy Bait". I love it because in is super glossy, but very sheer...just a hint of that sexy nude colour.

The second on is a "Kissable Lipcolour" in "Exxxhibitionist". (Love the name). It's part of the "peacocky" launch and it definitely has much more pigment than the cremesheen line.

Last is a oldie but goodie. Just a regular "Lipglass", in "Pink Poodle". I've bought this one before...love the pop of colour...so I thought that I would treat myself to this one again!!!

MAC's Evil Queen

I LOVE the Disney Movie "Snow White". I would watch it over and over again as a child. I'm so excited that MAC has used the "Evil Queen" as part of their "Villainous Villains" collection. I can't wait to see it in person!!!

MAC- Liberty of London

I can't wait for Mac to launch their "Liberty of London" line of colours.

The packaging is amazing and the shades are totally fun for spring. Here's a sneak peak at a few items that I will be purchasing.

LOVE LACE.....and I'm in love

To my delight, (when I opened my e-mail account) MAC had sent me a preview of their new collection, "LOVE LACE".  Really? I think I'm in love and am a little worried about all the money I will be spending at the MAC counter. Wonder if it's already in stores?

I'm in love

As a child, Cyndi Lauper was the first musician that I was obsessed with.  I would beg my Mom to let me get my haircut just like her. You should have seen the horror on her face. (So, obviously that never happened). I would listen to her all the time and would make up dance routines with my friends, even to slow ones like "Time after Time".
Lady Gaga, on the other hand, is someone who I have just started to find an appreciation for. I really like that she stands out from the norm. And I will admit that I do like the song "Bad Romance". I would never wear any of her clothes, but her fashion is daring, so I have to give her props for that!
Needless to say, I was thrilled that MAC put these two ladies together for their latest Viva Glam campaign.
I believe the collection "From our lips" will be launched on Feb 25th, 2010. With all proceeds going to the MAC Aids Funds. So far, MAC has raised over 150 million for this fund, with help from fab ladies like these two!!!!

Black Lipstick

I absolutely LOVE the imagery for the new MAC collection. Black, black, black....I just love it. I think that we all have a little "goth" in us, just waiting to come out and play. I have a feeling that I will be spending quite a bit at the MAC counter. I haven't been "over the moon" about the last couple of MAC collections, so it's refreshing to see that they still have it.  I wonder what my work would say if I showed up in black lipstick??? ;)
