Cara Delevinge

How beautiful is model Cara Delevinge?I love her trademark full brows. Cara was named the BFA's Model of the Year in Fall 2012, and I can totally see why. Her sister Poppy is a model as well. I guess good looks run in the family!!

If I were a Hollywood Celeb, I would totally wear this to an awards show!!

Anna Wintor's WSJ magazine cover

The fashionably powerful, Anna Wintor graces April's cover of WSJ magazine.

I was blown away by the cover! Anna has such a trademark look to her.
As a hairstylist, I'm automatically drawn to look at the hair first in any magazine cover..... I mean come on, look at her hair!!! How could I not??? Amazing!!!!

Dior....who will be it's next designer?

Now that his reign at Dior is apparently over, who will take over from John Galliano as the next King or Queen at Dior??? Who do you think it should be?

Burberry trench coat 2011

Nobody does a Trench Coat quite like BURBERRY. They have pretty much cornered the high-end market. Here's some latest styles from their spring and resort 2011 collections.

I know that the leather one is not a trench coat.... but want to add it, because I love it!

Love the studs on everything!

Jean Paul Gaultier's fall winter 2011-2012 men's collection

I LOVE the latest Men's collection, from fashion darling, Jean-Paul Gaultier. The 007, James Bond inspired show was well executed with a mix of dashing leading men, paired with sultry starlets. (Also, men).
I mean, look at the hair! I just can't get enough of the "Veronica Lake" inspired curls. Even if it is men sporting the look, I would still want that hair for myself.  Not to mention the legs on some of these models, especially my fave Andrej Pejic.

What do you think of these looks?

Georgia May Jagger

"Georgia on our Mind", is the title of the spread shot for W's Sept 2010 edition. Georgia May Jagger looks unbelievably gorgeous. I mean look at that face. It's unreal....
I was really blown away by this spread so I had to share it...
Enjoy.

Follow the Model....

Ok, so back to one of the things I love to talk about most here at Stells and Co........FASHION!
I recently came across a review of a new release from J.Alexander and instantly decided that it will be my next read!
"Follow the Model: Miss J's Guide to Unleashing Presence, Poise and Power", is finally telling the story of his life and how he got into the fashion industry...to being voted the best legs in the biz. I can't wait to get my hands on this book......I'm sure that it will be both fierce and fabulous!!!!

High Fashion: Braids and Chignons. Spring/Summer 2010

Today, I attended a "high fashion" hair styling class.  The main focus of the class, was to learn different styling techniques, based on what was featured on the runway for spring/summer 2010 in NYC. Many of these trends will be (in the salon) what are clients are asking for in the next couple of months.
There was a lot of braids and chignons. Classic styles, but all with a modern twist. Of course, I did not remember my camera, (silly me) or else I would have post the exact styles that I did on the mannequin head. (I would literally forget my head if it wasn't attached to me).
So, I am posting pics from the web. These are the closest styles, to the ones that I learned today.  All totally wearable and so feminine.
I love updating my skills each season, with educational classes and workshops......it is truly a great feeling to walk away from a class feeling re-inspired. As beauty professionals we NEED this!
Spring 2010 will be all about the "braid", and what you can do with it!

S.
